How players withdraw

A withdrawal is a player asking to take money out. Most withdrawals wait for an operator to review them before they are paid — that side is covered in Reviewing withdrawals. This page is about what happens to the player's money in the meantime, which is the part that surprises people.

The money is held the moment the request is made

When a player requests a withdrawal, their wallet is debited straight away — before anyone has reviewed or paid anything. The amount is held out of their balance while the request waits.

This has two consequences worth stating plainly:

  • A player who has "requested a withdrawal" already has that money out of their playable balance. They cannot spend it while it is pending.
  • If the withdrawal is later rejected or fails, the hold is returned automatically. The refund is not a manual step — rejecting a withdrawal credits the wallet back as part of the same action. A rejected withdrawal is not a loss to the player.

Do not "refund" a rejected withdrawal by hand

Because a rejection already returns the money, crediting the player again — with a deposit or a correction — double-pays them. If a player says a rejected withdrawal never came back, check their wallet history before crediting anything. The automatic refund is the norm; a genuine miss is rare and worth confirming.

The lifecycle

StatusWhat it means
createdThe request has been taken but the wallet debit is not yet finalised. A transient state, mostly for manual bank transfer.
pendingThe money is held and the request is waiting to be reviewed or processed.
processingA provider is in the middle of paying it out.
successPaid. The player has the money and the hold is now a completed withdrawal.
failed / rejectedNot paid. The hold has been returned to the wallet.

The path is pending → success when it is paid, or pending → rejected/failed when it is not, with the wallet returned in the second case. Manual bank and some gateway withdrawals pass through processing on the way to success.

Methods

Withdrawals go back out through the same families of provider as deposits — crypto payout, regional bank rails such as PIX, and manual bank transfer. The method and destination are captured when the player requests it; for bank withdrawals the account details are stored encrypted.

For manual bank transfer, each brand bank account carries its own minimum and maximum withdrawal, checked when the request is made. Requests outside the range are refused at that point rather than at review.

KYC and wagering

Whether a player is allowed to withdraw at all is decided at review, not blocked silently at request time — an operator sees the request and can reject it with a reason such as incomplete verification or a suspected problem. See Reviewing withdrawals for the reasons available and what the player is told.

Not verified here

Whether unmet bonus wagering automatically blocks a withdrawal, versus being caught by an operator at review, was not confirmed in the payment code reviewed for this page. Treat review as the reliable control point, and check a player's open bonuses before approving a large withdrawal. If you need the precise rule, ask the team.
