Tournaments and badges. A tournament ranks players against each other over a period and pays the top of the board; a badge is awarded to a player on their own, the moment they meet a condition. Both are defined in the admin panel and run unattended after that.
This is a newer section than Bonuses. Where something is known not to work yet, this documentation says so rather than leaving you to find out from an empty leaderboard.

The one thing to know first
Nothing you configure is applied at the moment you save it. An engine recalculates every open tournament on a timer and awards badges on a sweep, so a change you make shows up on the next pass rather than immediately. If a board looks stale, that is usually what it is.
The second thing: a leaderboard is a stored copy, not a live query. The panel reads the copy the engine last wrote. That is deliberate — opening a tournament should not be able to start a heavy scan — but it means "the board has not moved" and "nobody has played" look the same from the outside.
