Provider routing

A player picks a method, such as UPI QR or a bank transfer. When a brand runs more than one provider for that method, routes decide which provider processes each payment. This page covers how routes match, how they split traffic, which one wins, and how to switch routing on safely.

Everything here is under Payments → Payment Rules → Payments → Routes.

Off, Shadow and Live

At the top of the Routes page, routing has three states:

StateWhat happens
OffNothing is computed, recorded or followed. Each payment goes to its method's own first provider, and the route tester stops answering.
ShadowEvery payment's route is worked out and recorded, but not followed: players are not sent to the routed provider yet.
LiveEach payment goes to one provider from its route, for the players the payment rules apply to.

Build and watch routes in Shadow first.

What a route matches

A route says: for payments that match these conditions, use these providers. Every condition left empty matches everything.

ConditionNotes
MethodThe method the player picked
FlowDeposits, withdrawals or both
CountriesThe country on the player's account. Several can be named
CurrencyRequired when an amount is set: amounts are never converted
Amount from / toInclusive
VIP level from / toInclusive. A player with no known VIP level never matches
Trust levelNew, established, trusted or highly trusted, from Trusted Traffic
Player statusMostly active: blocked players are refused before routing
One playerThe route then applies only to that account

How a route splits its traffic

Each route lists its providers and chooses how they share the payments:

StrategyWho takes the payment
OrderThe first available provider in the order you set. The next is used only if the first is marked Offline or Maintenance with no replacement
WeightShares by number: 70 and 30 sends about 70% to the first; 2 and 1 is 67% / 33%. 0 is standby, used only when every weighted provider is down
Success rateThe available provider with the best success rate over the last 24 hours goes first. Providers without enough payments to judge keep your order, after the measured ones
CheapestThe available provider with the lowest fee on this amount goes first. Fees are set on Providers; a provider with no fee is never picked as cheapest

A route with no strategy of its own uses the policy-wide one.

One provider per payment

Each payment goes to one provider. If that provider fails, the payment fails: it does not move to the next provider. Only a provider marked down is left out, or replaced, for payments that come after. Keep a standby provider on important routes.

Which route wins

When several routes match a payment, the highest priority wins; among equal priorities, the more specific route. Leave priority empty to use the default for the route's conditions:

Route conditionsDefault priority
One player1000
A kind of player (VIP, trust, status)900
Country + amount + currency800
Country + amount700
Country + currency600
Country500
Amount or currency only300
One method only200
Everything100

When no route matches, the method's own provider order from Payment methods is used. It is shown at the bottom of the route list, so the whole picture is on one page.

Testing a payment

Where would this payment go?, on the Routes page: enter a method, amount, currency and country, or a player ID to use that player's real country, VIP level and trust. It shows the route that matches and the provider it picks. Nothing is recorded.

Watching it work

  • Each route shows its real split over the last day: how many payments went to each provider, and how many succeeded or failed.
  • Activity → Payments lists where each payment went and why, with every attempt in order, and in Shadow where it would have gone.
  • Payments Map shows, for any market, which provider would take each method today.

When a provider is down

On Providers, each provider has a status:

StatusEffect on routes
OnlineUsed as the routes say
Offline / MaintenanceLeft out; if you choose a replacement, it takes this provider's payments. The replacement is cleared when the provider is back Online

A provider that keeps failing can also be paused automatically for a while; its card shows the reason and when the pause ends. A method left with no available provider is hidden from the cashier rather than shown and failing.

Providers also carry the daily capacity ("today's limit"), per-payment minimum and maximum, fees and where they may be used (countries and currencies), all of which routes respect.

Rolling out

  1. Build one broad route per method, then narrower routes for the markets that need them. A narrower route wins by default.
  2. Set fees before using Cheapest; give Success rate a day or two of traffic first.
  3. Leave routing in Shadow for a few days and compare where payments went with where they would go.
  4. Switch to Live.

What this page is based on

Written against the admin panel and the payment rules engine as of 30 October 2026. Routing is switched on per brand; the state at the top of the Routes page is what your brand uses.

Internal documentation. Every page states what has been verified and what has not.
